Many people want to get to Heaven some day, Heavne, that beautiful land where there is 'no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain' Rev 21:4 and the dwelling place of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A lot of people have different notions regarding the way to this wonderful place. Multitudes are of the opinion that having been baptised and confirmed they are guaranteed a place in Heaven. Many feel that church attendance can merit an entrance into the glory land whilst others depend upon their self-righteousness and good works to secure incomparable bliss in the eternal home. RECOGNISE YOU ARE A SINNER

The Bible teaches that every man, woman and child are sinners:-

'for all have sinned' (Romans 3:23)

'unrighteous' (Romans 3:10)

'unclean' (Isaiah 64:6)

'unjust and no good' (Ecc. 7:20)

Irrespective of how religious, how upright or how respectable you may be, until you recognise the fact that by nature you are a sinner, you will never be able to get to Heaven.

REPENT OF YOUR SINS

Repentance means to confess your sins and forsake them. 'Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts'(Isaiah 57:7)

'If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness'(1 John 1:9). We must confess our sins to the Lord and not to man foe it is only the Lord who has the power to forgive sins. 'Who can forgive sins BUT GOD ONLY"(Mark 2:7). It is so important and necessary for sinners to repent that the Lord Jesus said, 'Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish' (Luke 13:3 ,5).

RECEIVE CHRIST AS SAVIOUR

Eternal Salvation and the blessed assurance of a place in Gods' Heaven are not to be found in a church or a creed but in one Person- the God M an - the Lord Jesus Christ. Listen to what the apostle Peter says, 'Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved'(Acts 4:12). The only name where Salvation is found is the name of Jesus. 'Thou shalt call His name Jesus for He shall save his people from their sins'(Matt. 1:21).

To have eternal life is to have a place in Heaven reserved for you. Remember you must Receive and appropriate to you self the Lord Jesus Christ and His atoning work once wrought at Calvary and never to be repeated.

Who ever you are, right now at this moment, start out for Heaven by recognising you are a sinner, by repenting of your sins and by receiving the Lord as your Saviour.
